| Course Statement | The AS Business course provides a broad perspective of business activity giving an overview of the different areas of activity undertaken by businesses. This course prepares students for further tertiary study in the business, or developing an understanding of the areas within which they could work in a business. Students will learn how business managers respond to a dynamic changing environment. They will gain an understanding of how effective managers develop successful organisations and reflect on how successful businesses achieve their objectives. Study during the year covers the areas of business and its environment, human resource management, marketing, operations management and finance and accounting. |
