1 - Year 9 Courses

All Year 9 students study five compulsory full year core subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Physical Education and Health, and also one term of Maori Studies.  In addition you will choose three,  term long option subjects. 

Some option choices may be subject to confirmation by Faculty Heads - please see the information in the course details. The school will endeavour to meet student preferences, however, the availability of courses is subject to student demand and staffing.

Most subjects can be started in Year 10 and many can be started in Year 11.  At the senior level some subjects will have pre-requisites and may not be able to be picked up if they have not been studied earlier.  We encourage you to look ahead at the full pathway list and prerequisites which can also be viewed on these pages.
