Course Description

Recommended Prior Learning
Prerequisites:
Completion of Year 11 Mathematics (11MAT) with B or better in 11MAT: MCert Mathematics (Core) or D or better in 11MAA: Mathematics (Extension).  

12 Mathematics - NCEA Level 2

Course Statement:
This is an academic course designed to prepare students for Year 13 Mathematics, either 13MAT: NCEA Level 3 Mathematics (Calculus) or 13MST: NCEA Level 3 Statistics.  Students intending to progress to Level 3 Mathematics (13MAT) MUST take this course.

This course leads to an ‘approved subject’ for University Entrance.

• 12 MAT: a cost of approximately $ 16 for a set of 2 books of each of AS91261 (algebra) and AS91262 (calculus).
