Subject Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr C. Reed.

10 English Literacy

The Year 10 English (Literacy) course is for students who find English challenging. It includes the study of a variety of literature texts, creative and formal writing, close viewing of film, reading comprehension and speech. The course is designed to foster students’ enjoyment of the subject and prepare them for the requirements of the Year 11 English (Literacy) course.

Students are selected for this course by the HOF English and HOD Learning Support. Students attend 10ENL instead of going to mainstream English with their form class. The course provides teaching in a small class with more one-on-one assistance.
