Course Statement: | This course is advanced and, after successful completion, a student will be very well prepared for any university course requiring Mathematics. This subject is equivalent to a subject on the 'approved list' for University Entrance. |
Topics Covered: |
Differential and integral calculus is extended in both depth of coverage and the number of functions examined. Complex numbers and numerical solutions of equations are introduced.
Statistics extends the range of probability models to include the Poisson distribution. Continuous random variables are introduced as is the relationship between sampling and estimation, which includes hypothesis testing. |

Prerequisites: | Minimum C Grade in 12MTC: AS Mathematics. Students not reaching this level will require permission from the Head of Faculty: Mathematics to continue on to 13MSC. |
